David Sherwood is a British tennis player. Sherwood is from Sheffield, South Yorkshire. In March 2005 he played with Andrew Murray in the Davis Cup, beating the Israeli doubles team of Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram. In 1997 he won the Australian Open boys' doubles title with fellow Brit James Trotman. They defeated South African pairing Jaco van der Westhuizen and Wesley Whitehouse 7-6, 6-3 in the final. Sherwood is the son of John Sherwood, who won a bronze medal in the 400m hurdles at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City, and Sheila Sherwood who won a silver medal in the long jump at the same Olympics.
